Description

301 Manager helps you create and maintain redirects without digging through server config files.

Key features:
* Add/edit/disable 301 and 302 redirects.
* Writes redirects to `.htaccess` between safe markers (Apache).
* PHP fallback redirects for hosts where `.htaccess` isn’t writable or when running Nginx.
* Wildcard redirects using `/old/*` pattern (preserves the remainder).
* Sitemap crawler: fetch URLs from an old site’s sitemap and import redirects in bulk with suggested destination URLs.
* 404 monitor: logs missing URLs and lets you create a redirect from the log in one click.
* CSV import/export.

Installation

1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate “301 Manager” in Plugins.
3. Go to Tools → 301 Manager.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it work on Nginx?
Yes. Use the PHP fallback (Settings). `.htaccess` writing is Apache-only.

Will it overwrite my `.htaccess`? 
No. It only writes inside a clearly marked block: “BEGIN 301 Manager Redirects” … “END 301 Manager Redirects”.
